Toyota To Launch Etios and Liva In Brazil In September

As soon as we enter Toyota’s official Brazil site, it greets with a small ticker which means Toyota ET!OS soon on the streets. The Japanese major Toyota which developed these Etios twins for the developing markets is about to launch them in Brazil.

Toyota Etios Brazil

We already have the Etios brothers here in India and have been doing pretty well specially the sedan version. Brazilian Liva would be equipped with a 1.3L and the Etios sedan would get the 1.5L petrol engine and both would come with  5 speed manual gearbox.

Toyota would produce 70,000 units of Etios in 2013 and plans to expand this capacity to take it to 400,000 units by 2015. Speculations are rife about as many as eight different models evolving out of the Etios platform which include compact SUV, station wagon, pick-up truck and minivan.

Expected price for these twins is somewhere around $28,000 to $45,000 and safety features like ABS, EBD and Airbags would be a standard feature. Toyota is promoting the Etios twins aggressively.

The Brazilian Etios will be slightly different from our Indian version. The most noticeable change is the inclusion of headrests for all seats. The rear portion is slightly modified with altered tail-lamps. The console remains centrally mounted.

Would you want this green color in Indian Etios..?
