Year End Discounts: Get Upto Rs 2.5 Lac Off on Honda Cars

Honda once reached the pinnacle the segments it offered cars in but then with the deregulation of petrol prices people started loosing interest in gasoline cars and this had a direct impact on Honda’s car sales.

They have tried their every bit to promote and uplift the falling sales and in times of distress are falling back to the tried and tested method of Year End Discounts. And here is a list of all what you get from the offers from this Japanese camp…

Honda Brio:

Honda’s garners volumes with this cute little car – Brio. The 1.2 litre 88 BHP engine is quite good for city drives and is one of the most peppy engines we have driven in this segment. It is available in manual and the recently launched automatic variant and has a number of trims available to suit your needs.

MotorBash Honda BRIO

This is one car where we found discounts and offers varying from dealer to dealer. Free insurance is standard for all the variants with some dealers offering a cash discount of Rs.20,000 and some giving an LED TV in place.

Honda Jazz:

The Brio borrows its heart from this elder sibling and Jazz is quite the hatch-ish MUV with acres of cabin space. It still is quite a slow seller despite a price cut and manages less than 1000 units a month. No discounts are being offered on this despite it not being a brisk seller but you can always bargain a bit and get atleast a few accessories and an insurance for free.

We hear that Honda intentionally keeps a tab on Jazz’s sales because it either doesn’t make much profit or suffers a loss from each unit sold. Jazz also made in our list of Cars Gone Wrong.

Honda City:

The car, despite being a petrol-only variant is still the bestselling car in their portfolio and poses a tough competition to the Hyundai Verna and VW Vento which are segment leaders with diesel hearts. It got itself a mid-career facelift and the already attractive City added a bit of oomph.

As the year ends, you can buy one for free insurance and your dealer might just throw in a few more accessories.

Honda Civic:

Civic, when it first came to the Indian shores looked futuristic (it still does) and was an instant success. Over the period, with increasing petrol prices, its sales started to fall down as its fuel efficiency was not one of its USPs. It sells around 100 units a month and the new model with a diesel heart is due but might take a couple of years to make its way into India.

Honda is offering a Cash Discount of Rs.1,50,000 which makes it worth a big consideration at this time of the year.

Honda Accord:

The signature of Luxury, Honda Accord got the first mover advantage when it was first launched in India. But the competition ran up to it quite fast with gadgets, gizmos and most importantly a diesel heart. But people who drove in and around the city still preferred the Accord for the sheer luxurious feeling it offered and if you could buy a car worth Rs.20 lakh, you are rich enough get the petrol tank filled up every now and then.

Honda-Accord-Front

Honda is offering their flagship sedan at a cash discount of Rs. 2,50,000 which, I personally believe is quite a deal.

Honda CRV:

The dealer did not even tell the discounts on this one, so we will just skip it too. A new and a vastly improved model is due next year so if you were deciding on buy this one, just wait for some more time. The image you see below is a spy pic of new Honda CR-V which was caught testing in Noida by one of our reader.
