SPIED: 2013 Audi Q5 Facelift Caught Testing in Mumbai, Launch in January

With the New Year knocking at the door, Audi is on their way to finalize the the launch of the upcoming 2013 Q5 in India.

These recent spyshots published by goaonwheels reveal that Audi is busy testing the 2013 Audi Q5 for India. This test mule was caught cruising at the Powai highway near Andheri in Mumbai. Though there are no badges on the car, but the website claims that this mule was a diesel variant.

The Audi Q5 is a tough competitor to the BMW X3 and the Range Rover Evoque. With world class products getting regularly updated and with improved sales and service network, Audi is very closely chasing BMW to acquire the No. 1 spot in India.  According to an Autocar report, the 2013 Q5 facelift would be launched in India in January 2013.

At the first glance,  it would be very hard for you to notice any changes. Here is a list of all the external changes that the new Audi Q5 would adorn:

  • Modified headlights
  • redesigned Daytime Running lamps
  • New 6-point grille
  • minor changes to the bumper
  • Different LEDs for tail lamps
  • New Rear Diffuser

Though in India, we would only see the current 2.0L TDI, 3.0 TDI and 2.0L TFSI which would continue to be offered. Audi is currently offering a discount of Rs 2 Lakh on the current Q5 and the facelifted SUV is expected to carry a little lower price tag as well considering that it would be assembled in India.
