2014 VW Beetle Soft-Top Spied; To Be Launched at Los Angeles Auto Show

Even after 7 decades of its birth, this Volkswagen continues to be an eye candy on the roads. Though it has gone through numerous changes, but it still remains immensely popular across the globe! VW is all set unveil the 2014 version of the Beetle Convertible at the Los Angeles Auto Show, gates of which will be opened a couple months later.

Prior to this, spy photographers at autoblog.com have managed to click some exclusive snaps of the upcoming 2014 Beetle Convertible.

Unlike the existing 2013 Beetle Convertible, the newer one looks quite neat, thanks to the better ‘ accommodation’ of the soft top. The company has worked on the looks of the car, especially when the soft-top is down. The test mule is also seen using steel wheel covered by stylish covers. So, this indicates cost cutting for the base variants.

However, the power-trains remains the same as the Beetle hard-top. The engines options are a 2.5-Litre In-line 5 that produces up to 200 HP, and a fuel efficient TDI Engine.

We’ll bring you more details about it, as and when they get revealed. Stay tuned!
