In a surprise press release that has hit our mailbox just now, Ford has launched the new 2014 Endeavour facelift in India. We certainly did not anticipate this but it appears Ford wants to still slug it out in the intensifying SUV segment.
New 2014 Endeavour Features & Changes:
- New headlamp unit
- New Grille
- Mouth-Open bigger airdam
- Redesigned front bumper
- New fog-lamp housing
- Refreshed Interiors
Apart from these new changes, 2014 Endeavour also offers;
- Trim updates
- New Leather seats
- SATNAV entertainment system which includes Navigation, Bluetooth Audio Control and reverse parking camera
2014 Endeavour Engine:
New Endeavour continues with the same set of diesel engines – 143PS 330Nm 2.5L Duratorq TDCI and 156PS 380Nm 3.0L Duratorq TDCI. The 2.5L motor is offered only in the 4×2 5-speed manual transmission whereas the bigger 3.0L diesel engine gets optional 4×4 and comes only with the 5-speed automatic gearbox.
2014 Ford Endeavour Variants & Prices:
Ford is offering the new Endeavour in 3 variants with the top of the line getting the 4X4 as well as the autobox.

- 2014 Endeavour 3.0 4X2 Automatic: Rs 21,28,119
- 2014 Endeavour 2.5 4X4 Automatic: Rs 23,06302

The new face has certainly lent the Endeavour a much needed freshness, however, we believe Ford has moved away from the raw truck-like image (built) the first Endeavours had, with ever new facelift.
Hyundai has recently launched the next-gen Santa Fe and Mahindra is also about to introduce the RX6 variant of Rexton shortly. This is a stop-plug gap employed by Ford until they are ready with the all-new generation of Ford Endeavour which will be launched internationally in some time.
