2016 Outlander Facelift Teased Ahead of Official New York Unveil

Just a few days back we saw some uncamouflaged spy shots of the Mitsubishi Outlander. The Japanese manufacturer is set to unveil the SUV officially at the New York Auto Show on April 2, 2015. Ahead of that the company has revealed some teaser shots, giving us a better look of that front nose which will go through a transformation.

The company claims that the engineers have brought over 100 engineering and design improvements to make the product more exciting and better. The front nose does indeed resemble the Outlander PHEV S concept from last year’s Paris Auto Show. The chrome dose and what seems to be an elongated front lip makes the car gain on the sporty front while the angles (wouldn’t call these curves!) makes it look muscular.

The new Outlander will also have better in-cabin noise reduction, improved throttle response and handling abilities. A better CVT is also expected to be pampering the automatic lovers. The interiors will also get a makeover and are expected to be more functional. A 2.0 litre engine producing 148 bhp of power will be the heart of the new Outlander, while a more powerful 2.4 litre version will also be made available.
