At 24+Kmpl New Alto K10 AMT is the Most Fuel Efficient Automatic Car in India

Maruti has always been known for its highly fuel efficient small cars. And there is a new feather they are all set to adorn – upcoming Alto K10 facelift which was first busted by MotorBash.com back in April, will become the most fuel efficient automatic car in the country.

This goes in tandem with the new Ciaz which is country’s most fuel efficient car at rated fuel efficiency figures of over 26kmpl.

As per our sources, the upcoming Alto K10 AMT facelift, which is scheduled to hit the market very soon, will have ARAI certified fuel efficiency figures of just over 24 kmpl (a few decimal places on the higher side). This is a huge jump from the existing fuel efficiency figures of 20.92 kmpl.

Celerio returns a rated mileage of 23.1 kmpl and new ALto K10 will further better it by about 1kmpl, owing to the lighter weight of the car. New Alto K10 will get the same 1.0L K-Series petrol engine tune of the Celerio.

These figures are for the AMT version which will make the new Alto K10 the most fuel efficient automatic car in the country. We believe these figures will be the same for the manual Alto K10 as well, however, we do not have a confirmation on that at this point.

The present version of the Maruti Alto K10 ranges from Rs 3.15 lakhs to Rs 3.28 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. We can expect a nominal price hike and the range will increase with the presence of AMT.
