Mahindra e2oPlus Launched at Rs 5.46 lakhs; More Power and Range!

Mahindra at an ongoing press conference in New Delhi has launched the e2oPlus at a starting price tag of Rs 5.46 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The e2oPlus will be available in four variants, one entry level for fleet and three for private ownership.

The e2oPlus gets two states of tune. The top end version churns out 40.79 PS of maximum power at 3,500 rpm. The torque output is a healthy 91 Nm. Mahindra Electric has worked on the range and this trim level helps in covering 140 km before running out of juice. Charging takes 9 hours but fast charging will help you juice up in 1 hour 30 minutes. The top speed has been pegged at 85 kmph while a 0 to 60 kmph sprint takes 9.5 second.

The rest of the range churns out the same 25.83 PS of power but the torque has been raised to 70 Nm from 53.9 Nm. This one takes 14.1 second to sprint to 60 kmph from standstill. The range though has come down to 110 km from the 120 km in two-door version. However, lack of fast charging is not available in the P4 and P6 trims so charging will take 6 hours.

  • Standard 16 ampere charging point
  • Hill assist

They are also the only Indian brand to have a FormulaE team. Unlike global brands like Tesla, Mahindra believes that a top down approach will not work in India. Entry level products has allowed them to invest more in R&D and bring out more products.
