All New Innova: Looks Aggressive in New Rendering

Toyota is working on an all-new Innova which has so far lived with very minor cosmetic touch-up jobs which added chrome with every new iteration! The new Innova has been spotted testing in India multiple times and Toyota says that it will be a fresher looking car, more upto the times.

Autocar has shared what they call as ‘accurate renderings‘ of the 2016 Innova which does look fresher but has a stark resemblance with Tata’s Aria at least from the side profile! The big airdam reminds us of the new language Ford follows. There are sharper headlamps and chrome lines running across the front. If these go true, the new Innova will look sportier and more like a crossover.

The 2016 Innova is being built on a new IMV platform which is expected to feature a more compact ladder frame and a longer wheelbase (Currently even Renault Lodgy has a longer wheelbase). The 2.5 liter D-4D engine should go through a major upgrade and is expected to churn out more power and torque.
