There has been news about India’s second largest truck manufacturer, Ashok Leyland foraying into passenger car market along with its partner Nissan. But Vinod Dasari, Managing Director of Ashok Leyland has dismissed it from the root.
“I do not think we will get into cars. None of my customers tell me today I also need an Ashok Leyland car. Not one. Lot of that is media creation” Dasari said to Economic Times. Nissan and Ashok Leyland have a tie-up to manufacture light commercial vehicles.
