When you consider a market it seriously rewards! This is applicable to all the manufacturers in India. The time you consider us third world, you will be doomed!
Honda’s first diesel engined car is doing it for the company what the total older arsenal can not do for so long. In an official communication Honda has shared, it has been informed that Amaze has registered total sales of 30,000 units so far since its launch in April 2013. Notice that these are final deliveries to customers and not mere bookings!
And hence, Honda shares that Amaze has become the fastest new model Honda car in India to achieve this feat in such a short time. Amaze’s demand has grown with each passing month and the company has registered a growth of 65% during the April-July 2013 period as compared to last year.
Being 90% localized, Amaze was launched in India at competitive prices just under the throat of Maruti Dzire. Honda did a lot of market study and based the car on what the user wants and not what the company provides. As a result, Amaze comes as a very smartly stacked product with better interior space, bigger boot and more proportionate dimensions as compared to Dzire.
Not only this, at 100PS of power output, Amaze is significantly more powerful. It also gets an ARAI certified mileage of 25.8 kmpl which is the best in India for any car! With so much on offer, it was evident that Amaze had to do good and the results are pouring in.
However, the going may not be really very easy for the company in the times to come as competitors like Hyundai, Nissan and others are also planning to mark a foray in this segment (Read the List of 5 Upcoming Compact Sedans in India)
