Audi has displayed at the Expo an impressive line-up of luxury cars along with Audi sports Quattro Concept. The company unveiled the Audi A3 Sedan, and the special versions of its SUVs – Audi Q3, Q5, and Q7. The company also showcased the powerful Audi RS 7 Sportback and the R8 V10 Spyder. The Audi R18 e-tron Quattro was present too, to celebrate the company’s success in motorsports.
Last year was good for Audi with new sales records in more than 40 markets including India. They sold a total of 10,002 units here in the country and see the potential, hence the introduction of the new Audi A3 Sedan.
The Audi A3 Sedan
The A3 is a combination of design, technology, performance and luxury and comes equipped with quality, style and innovation. In the international markets the A3 comes with either 1.8L and 2.0L petrol powerplant or a 2.0 L turbo diesel engine. Transmission is 6-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch auto as optional. Although the smaller dimensions mean the rear seats has a step-motherly feel to it, but reviewers, in general, have lauded the A3 for its sharp handling and comfortable ride quality.
The Audi A3 Cabriolet
A3 Cabriolet, as the name suggests, is a 2-door, 4 seater convertible equipped with fully motorized retractable roof, which can even be operated on the move. The Cabriolet’s ride is sportier than its sedan cousin.
Audi has also showcased a Sport Quattro Concept combining the grunt from racetracks with everyday practicality. The Concept hides a prodigious 8-cylinder, twin turbo V8 with a mammoth 700 bhp delivered through the trademark Audi quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. Audi also announced that they are working on increasing their network to 40 dealerships by the end of 2014. If your city is not covered by Audi yet, wait, you will see them soon.
