Hyundai has unveiled the Chinese market specific Elantra at the China Auto Show 2012 in Beijing.

  • This car would be called as ‘Langdeng’ in this market which means “dynamic for the young, new generation”
  • There are two engine options on offer – smaller 1.6L 127PS, 155Nm and a 1.8L 146PS, 174 Nm. Transmission would be 6 speed Manual or Automatic
  • The Chinese Langdeng differs from the global Elantra obviously in name, a restyled grille, air intake on the front fascia.
  • Hyundai would launch this car to the Chinese market during the second half of 2012.
