BMW Achieves 25000 Assembled-in-India Cars Production Milestone

BMW has achieved the milestone of producing 25,000 assembled-in-India cars at Chennai Plant.In 2011 the total cars delivered to the customers was 9,371 and in 2012 4,457 units delivered so far.

The managing director of BMW plant Chennai,Juergen Eder happily announced the achievement of producing 25,000th car assembled in India. He also said that the Chennai plant will play a crucial role in the company’s success with the increasing demand of the BMW cars. He congratulated the BMW Chennai plant team for the contribution to this acievement.

Currently BMW’s total outlets are 25 across the country and the company is targeting to expand its dealership by increasing the outlets to 40 across major metropolitan centres and emerging markets in India by 2012 end.
