On the 40th Anniversary of the M Division in November 2011, BMW announced 450 units of the BMW M3 Coupe Competition Edition to celebrate the occasion. And of these 450, Singapore is about to receive 8 (Eight) cars. Now let’s talk other numbers instead of ‘8’.
This Competition Edition M3 Coupe is home of a massive 4.0 L V8 engine married to a double clutch M DCT Transmission. The power output for this engine is 414 bhp and they both, together, propels the car from a stand-still to a tonne in 4.6 seconds! They have also lowered the height of the car by 10mm and have given this car a wider off-set to the wheels to ensure enhanced handling, an electronic set of dampers and a tuned M Dynamic Mode. But before you start imagining yourself doing such numbers and figures, sorry to say but this car is only available in Silver color of the dark shade, BMW calls it Frozen Silver Metallic but with what’s more on the outside, makes the car look so special with Dark Chrome front grille trim and M side vents, also called ‘gills’, and 19 inch rims form the BMW M3 GTS.
Inside feels as sporty to me with All Black Novillo Leather with Silver accents, an Alcantra covered Steering Wheel, Carbon trim on the dash and checkered flag M3 logo on the door sills.
To keep you in your wits for a while, BMW hasn’t revealed the price list for this car. Keep checking us, we might soon update you with the prices in Singapore as well. We also suggest you to keep changing the wallpaper like photos which BMW has provided, nice photographers they have got….
