Merc A-Class Would Cost Under 100000 Brazilian Reals in Brazil; Launch in March

We can feel that a lot people accross many countries are waiting very eagerly for the most affordable Mercedes Benz car ever, the A-Class. India launch of this car is near.

A Brazilian auto blog, noticiasautomotivas.com.br reports that Mercedes Benz officials have revealed the price band of the upcoming A-Class in an event. It says that the A-Class will be launched in Brazil in the month of March and could be priced below 100,000 Brazilian Real which equates to approx Rs. 27 Lakhs in Indian currency. Don’t be shocked, the Indian A-Class will not be this costly. Instead it is expected to start somewhere over 18 Lakhs.

As of now, the Brazilian A-Class will be available in only one variant: A200. Two trims of the A200 will be offered: Style and Urban. The Brazilian A200 will be powered by a 1.6-Liter Turbocharged Petrol Engine, churning out 156 Horses. The 7-Speed Automatic Transmission will be directly borrowed from the B-Class.
