Honda’s next major launch, Duster-Creta Rival BR-V Compact SUV has been revealed in new spyshots.
So, here is Honda’s well kept secret out in the open, BUSTED!
It is, at least for the last two years, well known that Honda is preparing a compact SUV for markets like India and others. After the bigger HR-V was quashed for our market, recently, we got to know the official name of Honda’s upcoming smallest SUV in the portfolio – BR-V.
Codenamed as 2SJ in India, the Duster rival has been leaked in some interesting spyshots by AutonetMagz, ahead of its official world premiere tomorrow at GIIAS 2015 in Indonesia, and it looks fantastic!
Going by the looks, this is expected to be showcased in its ‘Concept’ form but we believe it is very close to production and apart from a few bits, Honda should not take away a lot of it. Despite being based on the Brio-platform, Honda has managed to keep it different and bigger from the hatch as well as Amaze compact sedan and Mobilio MPV.
At the front, BR-V features the H-Design and has broad horizontal chrome grille with projectors and an enclosure within the headlamps. The fog lamps have chrome outline and the big airdam also gets silver underlining. We also see silver colored roof-rails, front and black side cladding to raise the SUV-credentials of the car.

In India, Honda will launch the BR-V with 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel engine and most probably the 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine from City. It will be launched as a 7-seater sometime next year and till then Creta and S-Cross can live a peaceful life!
