It has been over eight months since the car was first showcased right before the Auto Expo, Ford India seems to be finally getting ready to get the car prepped up for our market. Fueling this further is this confirmation from Zauba.com which confirms that Ford India has imported a few units of the Ka+ sedan as well as the Ka hatchback from Brazil, where the car has already been launched.

Sept. 2014 Sales: Honda Registers 45% Growth (Model-wise Break-up Inside)
Among all car manufacturers in India, 2014 has been perhaps the best yet for Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL). Sailing on the success of the Mobilio (it outsold both the Ertiga and the Innova last month!) and the new City, the company registered another good month of sales registering a 45 per cent growth this time in September over the sales achieved in the same month last year. Honda sold 15,105 cars in the domestic market last month whereas it had managed to sell 10,354 cars in September 2013.
In fact, the press release states that ‘all models from the company’s stable have maintained strong sales momentum during the first half of the current financial year. Honda registered an overall growth of 47.9 per cent during April– September 2014 with 88,200 units sold as against the 59,617 sold during the corresponding period last year.

Chevrolet to launch new Sail sedan and Sail U-VA hatchback this week!
Chevrolet’s Sail sedan that still boasts of the best ride quality in its segment has been given a facelift along with its hatchback sibling, the Sail U-VA, and the company would be unveiling both the cars officially in two days. Chevy India’s Facebook page has been posting teaser images for the new cars and the latest today carries a picture of the instrument cluster with “2 Days To Go!” tagline.
Chevrolet Sail and Sail U-VA have always been decent cars to buy in their respective segments, but, much to Chevrolet’s discomfort, better options from competitors have also been always available. Moreover, sad brand perception, helped in no small measure by company’s zilch marketing, poor after sales service, and both the cars’ drab interiors kept buyers away from the Sails.
