Honda chose Indonesia to world premiere their upcoming MPV for our type of markets. Indonesia loves MPVs and we surprisingly saw the advent of a 7-Seater WagonR MPV at IIMS 2013 as well.
And yes, Mobilio is the very same Brio based MPV that Honda has promised for India. We have already shared a lot of details along with live pics of the car including an on-road spyshot of the production spec Mobilio.
This time, you can check out a 360 degree walkaround video of Mobilio from the Indonesia Auto Show. The video also shares a peek into the interiors which are beige and share a lot of commonalities with Brio/Amaze as expected. The dashboard is black and there appears to be decent space for the middle row passengers.
We can also spot the second row AC vents at the top. Considering how immaculately Honda has packaged the Amaze, Mobilio is expected to be no exception. It has large doors and ingress and egress is expected to be real easy. In India, Mobilio will get Amaze’s 1.5L i-Dtec diesel engine and possibly the 1.5L i-Vtec petrol motor from City as well.
Launch is scheduled for next year and we expect prices to be right under the throat of Ertiga, as is the case with Amaze and Dzire.
