Chevrolet’s Enjoy MPV is one year old in the market and the company celebrated the first ‘Happy Birthday‘ of the car with the lunch of a special anniversary edition in the market.
Launched in May 2013, Chevrolet has managed to ship 20,000 units so far which is about 1666 units every month on an average. The 1st anniversary edition of Enjoy appears nothing different from the Enjoy Limited Edition that the company has been selling so far, for some time now!
The 1st Anniversary Edition is available with a choice of seven and eight seats. An exclusive badging will be present on these models. The exterior changes include a chrome kit for the headlamp cluster, tail lamp, door handles and tailgate apart from roof rails, side body decals, OSRVM blinkers and chrome license plate garnish. It also gets wooden dashboard panels which look pathetic and dummy.
The car will be available in six colours:
- Velvet Red
- Candy White
- Switchblade Silver
- Seadrift Grey
- Caviar Black
- Linen Beige
Mechanically, the car continues to have the same two engine options:
- 1.3L turbocharged DOHC diesel engine producing 74.8 PS and 172.5Nm of torque, with a claimed mileage of 18.2 kmpl.
- 1.4L SMARTECH petrol engine producing 100.2 PS and 131Nm of torque and a certified mileage of 13.7 kms to a litre.
The five speed manual transmission helps in delivering the power to the front wheels. The normal edition of the Enjoy starts at Rs 5.74lacs and goes on till Rs 8.13lacs (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). A marginally higher price for the anniversary edition can be expected.
