It has been in the air for long but the company was just not launching it. And suddenly out of the blue this news pours in. Chevrolet has launched the new Captiva in India and the base variant would start at 18.74 Lakh.
The most significant change in the new Captiva is the introduction of the new 2.2L engine which belts out 186.5 bhp of power output but is limited to the 6-speed Automatic All Wheel Drive variant. The manual gearbox version gets a 2.0L diesel engine.
The new Captiva gets major styling changes as displayed in the Auto Expo 2012. The new 2.2L engined Captiva gets 6 airbags, cruise control and AC vents for the 3rd row as well along with rain-sensing wipers and sunroof.
