We have been looking forward to the launch of the Datsun Go+ MPV right from the time it was first announced. Nissan showcased the car at the Delhi Auto Expo in February with a promise to launch it in India within this year.
The 5+2 seating arrangement (basically a seven seater), that too based on a cheaper entry level car Go will help in keeping the price low which would in turn be a win-win situation for the both the manufacturer as well as prospective buyers.
Nonetheless, Datsun has launched the Go+ MPV in Indonesia and it has been locally named as Datsun Go+ Panca, owing to some Indonesian norms. Deliveries of Go+ MPV will begin from June in Indonesia.
Datsun Go+ MPV Engine
The Go+ sports the same 1.2L petrol engine which does the duty on the Go hatchback. and produces 68bhp of power and 104Nm of torque. Datsun claims that the engine runs the car for 20.63km for a litre of petrol; we can expect the Go+ to be rated at a slightly lesser figure considering the extra weight of the MPV.

It must be known that Datsun Go+ is a sub-4 meter MPV and hence it will attract the least 8% excise duties in turn helping the company to keep its price aggressive. We believe Go+ MPV may be priced slightly lesser than the direct conversion INR tags we have mentioned here.
