Moments ago, Datsun has officially released the sketch of their upcoming concept car which we believe is the ‘I2’ (codename) that the company will launch in its targeted markets.
I2 will be a smaller than Go hatchback and will sit under it in the Indian market. From the sketch we have, which broadly reveals the basic design of the car, it clears that Datsun has opted for a tall-boy design to enhance interior space. It appears quite muscular for a car of its segment and resembles EcoSport from a few design elements.
Nice flowing lines, curvaceous body along with that trademark Datsun grille, with puffed up wheel arches, all make up for a nice little prospect which is heading our way. Shod with interesting looking but unclear alloy wheels, this concept will be an interesting car to watch out for and may possibly end up being the best looking Datsun out of the lot.
Considering that Go hatchback is expected to start at Rs 2.99 Lakh or under, this I2 gives us a hint of terrific value for money preposition in the making.
Not many details have been revealed by Datsun in their press release. Though they have clearly hinted that this concept car showcases the future design philosophy of Datsun’s upcoming lineup for young customers and they have specifically named India as the target country.
Like their Go hatchback, this concept car will also world premiere for the first time in India at the Delhi Auto Expo in Noida on 5th of February. Another product that Datsun will showcase for the first time in India is the upcoming G0+ MPV.
