Datsun today has launched the rediGo Sport for Rs 3,49,479 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Based on the top end trim, it was brought in front of the media today in the presence of the Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik. The 24 year old freestyle wrestler from Rohtak brought home laurels for the country when she won a medal at the Rio Olympic Games earlier this year.
Mechanically the car remains the same. The 0.8 litre 3 cylinder mill churns out 54 PS of maximum power at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of peak torque at 4,386 rpm. The 5-speed manual transmission helps the car deliver a fuel efficiency of 25.17 kmpl! Visually the car gets 9 new features. These include:
- Theme grille with red accents
- New wheel covers
- Black body decals
- Glossy black roof spoiler
- Sporty dashboard
- Bluetooth audio system
- All-black interiors
- Reverse parking sensors
- Remote keyless entry

Datsun also announced that the wrestler Sakshi Malik will be the first owner of the rediGo Sport. She will also be the face of the new limited edition product. Here’s what she had to say:

The rediGo Sport is priced 15,080 bucks more expensive than the top end S trim which has a price tag of Rs 3,34,399 (ex-Delhi).
