EcoBoost Engines to be Mainstay for Ford in Europe’s 15 Launches This Year

Ford announces the launch of 15 New models with best-in-class fuel efficiency in Europe by the end of this year. They are planning to acheive this with EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engines, TDCI diesel engines and low CO2 ECOnetic technologies.

Ford claims that it will have cars with CO2 emissions of under 100g/km. These cars will include three Fiesta diesel models, three Fiesta petrol models, two Focus diesel models and its pure electric model, the Focus EV.

The 2012 International Engine of the Year award winning engine, Ford’s new 1.0 liter three cylinder EcoBoost petrol will be in most of the new models including the B-Max small MPV and the larger C-MAX and Grand C-Max minivans.

This 1L EcoBoost engine is also expected to power the compact SUV EcoSport in India, test mules of which have already started getting spotted.
