Along with other new models, Fiat also unveiled their new crossover called as Avventura (which we have been calling as Adventure so far). Avventura is nothing but a rougher version of Punto but with significant changes and a little more off-road kit.
Here are more details of Fiat Avventura:
- Changed, longer headlamps with projectors
- New grille
- Redesigned bonnet
- new airdam
- Increased ‘Ride height’
- bulged wheel arches
- Revised interiors
- and the most important one- rear mounted spare wheel
The crossover car gets a lot of Avventura badges, both on the inside and outside. It also gets Roll and Tilt gauges on the inside which tell the driver about the incline he is ascending/descending at.
Interestingly, Avventura also gets a higher ground clearance as also cleared in the press release, however they have not mentioned the official height.
So Avventura gets the most comprehensive changes if we talk about the current and upcoming crossover hatchbacks. This is the same B-CUV (crossover utility vehicle) that Fiat talked about launching in India when they unveiled their roadmap in 2012 December.
Avventura will get the 1.4L NA petrol engine from Linea/Punto and the 1.3L Multijet diesel which may come in the VGT 90PS tune. Fiat will launch Avventura towards the second half of this year.
