Considering the growing utility car market which includes SUVs, MUVs, compact SUVs etc, Fiat would be bringing in its ‘Jeep’ brand in India. Also in radar is the 500X which could make way here. Fiat is also considering other models for India.

Fiat is in process to build an all new company which would take care of sales, spare parts etc and its name would be unveiled soon. Senior Vice President of Fiat India Automobiles Ltd (FIAL) Enrico Atanasio would be the Managing Director of the new company.

Fiat currently has only 3 exclusive showrooms in India and plans to take this count to as much as 70-80 all over the country by as early as mid-2013. Once Fiat will have its own showrooms and dealerships, the current Fiat-Tata showrooms will cease to exist.
