Last year in December, Fiat India officially revealed their Indian roadmap which included the splitting of Linea into two different cars.
The current Linea was supposed to be relaunched and repositioned as Linea Classic and the Italian giant shared that the new Linea facelift will come to India (with the 1.6L Multijet diesel engine) early next year. MotorBash was the first online webzine which busted the first ever spyshots of Linea facelift (Check here) confirming that the company has started testing it on our roads.
Now, keeping its promise, Fiat is all set to launch (or re-launch) the Linea Classic and a teaser has been put up at its official Facebook page. It reads,
“LAUNCHING SOON.
A FIAT EXPERIENCE THAT WILL MAKE HEADS TURN AND SHUTTERBUGS CLICK, WHEREVER YOU GO.”
It is and has to be the Linea Classic that Fiat is talking about in this teaser and this clears that the launch is very soon.
What is Linea Classic?
Though we have talked about it earlier as well, however, for starters, let us recap it up. Linea Classic is nothing but a rebranded version of the current Linea which will be re-positioned in the market. It will form the entry level C-Segment sedan for Fiat and obviously we can expect slashing of a few luxurious features of the car.
Linea Classic will come with the same 1.4L petrol engine as well as the 1.3L Multijet diesel engine. Launch is expected very soon and a few murmurs point out at a September launch itself. We are expecting a shattering price tag to make the car an extremely luring preposition.
So, how about a Rs 5.99 Lakh entry price, Fiat?
