Fiat Launches Linea 125S for Rs 7.82 lakhs; Brings in 93 PS Punto Evo and Avventura

Fiat India has just raised the heat this summer. Showcased first at the Auto Expo earlier this year, the Italian major has launched the Linea 125S, a new powerhorse of the family. The car has been priced at Rs 7.82 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it Rs 55,000 more expensive than the standard T-Jet variant. They have also increased the power output of all their diesel hatches to 93 PS and branded them as PowerTech.

The car is powered by the same 1.4 litre T-Jet petrol mill but the power output has been bumped up from 114 PS to 125 PS, making it the most powerful sedan in the segment. The car is also the longest in the segment, measuring 4,596 mm. The ground clearance too is a handsome 190 mm while the boot space of 500 litre will be enough to carry your luggage.

The Linea 125S also gets dual stage airbags, 16 inch alloy wheels, ambient lighting, cruise control and rear disc brakes. The infotainment system is a 5 inch touchscreen unit with USB, SD card, Bluetooth, navigation by MapmyIndia and rearview camera support.

Apart from this, Fiat India has also updated the Punto Evo and Avventura with the 93 PS version of the 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine. They also get the 5 inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Linea S with navigation. Availability will continue to be on three trim levels which include Active, Dynamic and Emotion. The Punto Evo PowerTech and Avventura PowerTech start at Rs 6.81 lakhs and Rs 7.87 lakhs respectively (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
