Nepal to Get Fiat Avventura by September; Indian Launch Earlier Then?

Fiat is surely trying to go places with its new crossover Avventura. The Batas Brothers Motors, which is the authorised distributor of Fiat in Nepal, has announced that they will launch the new Punto facelift and Avventura in the Himalayan country.

Both the cars will be available with petrol as well as diesel mills and are expected to be launched by September according to The Himalayan Times.

The facelifted Punto will get a host of updates in terms of interiors, however, on the exteriors, the changes are not expected to be exhaustive. Further, the same engine set will continue to be offered ie the 1.2L and 1.4L petrol, as well as the 1.3L multijet diesel with two different power outputs.

The Avventura is based on the Punto and is a sturdier version on offer. It gets a high ground clearance, chunky wheel arches, new front grille, headlamps and a spare wheel on the rear tail gate. It is supposed to get the 1.4L petrol and the 90PS version of the 1.3L diesel.

The speculated price of the new Punto is 2.5 million to 3.2 million Nepalese Rupees (15.6 Lac INR to 20 Lac INR), while the Avventura is to be for 4.0 million to Rs 4.5 million Nepalese Rupees (25 Lac INR to 28 Lac INR). The company will be trying to launch the two cars before ‘Dashain’ which is one of the biggest festivals in Nepal.

And if Fiat intends to launch the new Punto and Avventura in Nepal by September, we can expect the Indian launch to be at least a few weeks earlier than that.
