Along with the India specific, Avventura crossover, Fiat also unveiled the New Linea facelift in India for the first time ever. If you remember, MotorBash.com was the first publication that broke the scoop of New Linea being tested in India with exclusive spyshots and now, it is in front of you officially revealed.
Fiat informed that New Linea facelift will come with a comprehensive makeover to the exteriors and interiors. They also enumerated the features it will come equipped with:
- Cruise Control
- New Audio System with USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth
- Reverse Parking sensors
- Rain sensing wipers
- Leather upholstery
- Automatic Climate Control
New Linea will also come with improved interior comfort and will be more stylish than the current one. However, they did not talk about its engines and did not even share a teaser hinting at the 1.6L multijet which they promised will be coming in the New Linea when they shared their roadmap for India in December 2012.
According to the sheet, New Linea is supposed to get 1.4L turbocharged T-Jet petrol motor along with the debut of 1.6L Multijet diesel engine. The following pic of the new Linea confirms that there will be the T-JET on offer.
New Fiat Linea Launch:
Fiat also announced that the New Linea will be launched in March 2014 ie next month. New Linea will replace the current Linea and will compete with the Verna, new Honda City, upcoming Maruti Ciaz among other existing players. And if Fiat can price the new Linea well, we see a real game changer for the company; obviously for that they need the 1.6L MJD, as promised!
