Fiat’s Avventura Urban cross Spotted in Open

Fiat may not have been having a gala time in terms of sales, but the three models showcased at the Auto Expo, the Punto Pure, Linea 125S and Avventura Urban Cross carried a breath of hope. The first two cars are already available in the market, however, the Urban Cross is still on cards. Expected to launch next month, the car has been spotted on the roads for the first time.

Based on the Avventura, which in turn has been engineered on the Punto Evo. The new headlamps, flashy front grille and updated bumpers look great but the car misses out on the rear spare wheel. The car would be available only as an Abarth badged vehicle. Dimensions remain almost the same as that of the Avventura. Images of a camouflaged unit shared by an IndianAutosBlog reader reveals that the front grille sports the same design as the concept version.

Powering the car will be the 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol mill which churns out 140 PS of maximum power at 5,500 rpm and 210 Nm of torque peaking in the range of 2,000 to 4,000 rpm. Mated to this will be a 5-speed manual gearbox. Yes, that does make it an interesting product. Pricing too can be expected to be competitive, following the lines of the Avventura Abarth.

Interiors include a touch screen infotainment system. The flashy high terrain gauges like compass and inclinometer will inspire you to take the road less travelled. The 17-inch alloy wheels also add up to the confidence.
