After 50,000 Sales, Ford Resumes Bookings for EcoSport: Prices Inside

In an official communication, Ford India informed us that they have resumed bookings of its much acclaimed urban compact SUV, EcoSport.

The company had received such an unprecedented demand of their EcoSport that the waiting period had stretched to months and in some cases a year or so. And hence, Ford had to suspend further bookings to clear the backlog. Ford’s ailing and plummeting fortunes in India were rescued by the EcoSport.

As per the press release, Ford has so far delivered 50,000 units of the car which could have been a lot higher had Ford not, purposefully, been shipping a significant chunk of EcoSports produced here to the export markets.

However, the waiting periods have not really gone down significantly and the new bookings will also be quoted a long waiting period as there are a lot of customers still waiting for their EcoSports.

Nonetheless, in case you are grossly interested in the EcoSport, you can go ahead and book one and let us also point out that these new bookings are open for all the variants.
