Ford EcoSport Facelift Spied in Brasil Ahead of Unveil

Ford’s one of the most successful product in the country is the EcoSport. The sub 4-metre compact SUV seems to be gearing up for another mid-life refresh. Test units of the soft-roader was spotted doing rounds in Brasil by CarPlace. Although camouflaged, it clearly reveals that the overall design philosophy remains the same.

The rear tailgate and profile also seems to be the same. Although not visible, the front portion is set to be brought under the knife. With a sharper profile the EcoSport will aim to look sportier than ever. Mechanically the car is set to gain a new 1.5 litre Dragon three pot engine, however, this mill might not trickle down to India.

Our line-up will retain the two petrol and one diesel mill. The diesel was recently tuned up to produce more power. Interiors though are expected to gain major changes. Especially on the dashboard. We would love to see a proper touchscreen infotainment system, at least in the top end trim.

The updated EcoSport is to be unveiled at Sao Paulo Motor Show in November. That’s the same auto show where Honda is set to unveil the WR-V. Indian launch though will happen only in the next few months.
