Ecosport is Ford one car which has created a lot of stir the world over. Ford unveiled the production version of the car in Beijing Auto Show on 23rd April 2012. It has also been caught testing in India.
The good news is that Ecosport is getting ready for official launch in China and the new name coined for the Chinese market is ‘YiBo’ which when translated mean ‘Wings of Combat’. EcoSport is expected to be launched at price points between 100.000 yuan to 130.000 yuan that translates to 8.80 lac INR to 11.45 lac INR. We, in India expect the car to be priced a little lower than this. Let’s hope Ford listens to this.

Ecosport is expected to be launched during the early part of January 2013 and it is expected to get launched at a more competitive price tag of 6 lac for the entry variant because it is cleared that it is a sub 4 meter car and will get the excise benefits of a small car.
