Ford India has dropped the ‘Fiesta’ moniker from Fiesta Classic and the new car would be called as only ‘Classic’. But don’t worry, all the fun in owning and driving this car still remains the the same. Along with the name change , Ford has also introduced a new top-of-the-line variant, Titanium. This Titanium variant will replace the SXi variant. It’s practically needless to say that how the Ford Classic is an all-time-favorite car for any drive enthusiast especially the petrol 1.6’s zesty nature. This legacy is being continued with the diesel’s exceptional mileage and petrol’s incredible drivability from the launch of the Ford Fiesta years ago. Though Classic does look a little old but its design is still not stale.
Ford Classic competes with cars like Swift DZire and Toyota Etios and manages to garner 1000-1500 units on an average per month which are many times more than the new Fiesta. The Ford Classic Titanium is cheaper than SXi variant by approximately Rs 65,000 for both petrol and diesel variants.
Here are the prices for all the variants:
Mr. Michael Boneham, President and MD, Ford India says: “By bringing in Bluetooth telephony in this segment and integrating eight other outstanding features, we have delivered on our promise to democratize technology and add unmatched value to a reliable, fun-to-drive Ford Classic”.
The company expects to grow the market by 9 – 11 per cent as Fiesta Classic becomes a viable option of upgrade for Figo owners. You can read our Fiesta Classic detailed review here.
