This new avatar of Fiesta has got the 1.5 Litre TiVCT Gasoline engine that produces 110 BHP of power and 140 Nm of torque. Ford India really leaves us confused about their intentions by launching this car without a Diesel variant. As claimed by Ford India, the 6-Speed, Twin – Dry Clutch Gear box with Power Shift Technology is almost maintenance free; and as a result they provide a long term warranty period of 2.4 Lakhs Kilometers or 10 years, on a ‘whichever is earlier’ basis.

  • 1.5 Liter TiVCT Gasoline Engine. 110 BHP, 140Nm
  • Only Petrol, No Diesel
  • 6-Speed, Twin-Dry Clutch GearBox with PowerShift Technology
  • Maintenance Free. 2.4 Lakh Kms/10 Years Warranty

Being an excellent car, we don’t get to see this beauty on roads that much, thanks to its premium pricing. The Fiesta excels in handling, high speed dynamics and ride quality and fuel efficiency with a class-leading figure of 16.97 kmpl (ARAI Rated). We’re expecting that Ford India will come up with a facelift of the Fiesta, powered by the 1.0 Litre, Turbocharged Eco-Boost Engine by mid-2012.

Ford has come up with a class-first feature like Voice Control. The user can control the Radio, CD, USB, iPod and Mobile Phone function of the entertainment system as well as the Air Conditioning system featuring Climate Control. The electric power steering is very responsive and sharp handling around the corners can easily be carried out.

The Fiesta AT has Two Front Airbags and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) for increased safety. Now parking the car made easy by Rear Parking Sensors. Hill-Launch Assist, Hill-Hold and Ford Grade Assist prevent rollback on inclines and make in-city driving more pleasant as the transmission disconnects from the engine when the brake is applied.

So, for the time being, we just wish that Ford India reports a sensible growth in business and we get to see some impressive figures.
