After Mr P.M.Telang’s retirement in June, Karl Slym would take over his reigns as the Managing Director of Tata Motors.

Karl Slym, an erstwhile Managing Director and Board Member of General Motors India, would handle all Tata Motors’ operations in India and international markets which include South Korea, Thailand, Spain, Indonesia and South Africa, while Jaguar Land Rover would continue to be managed independently.


Karl Slym, who is an alumnus of Stanford University,  is expected to take over his chair on October 1st this year. Karl Slym has had a 17 year career with General Motors and had been involved in various positions across different geographies.
