According a brochure scan, the upcoming 2013 Linea T-JET will start at shattering prices of Rs 7.6 Lakhs in India. Yes, we are also snoozing in disbelief and if this goes true, we will have a devastating sedan at killer prices in India. The new Linea T-JET will be officially launched in India today at 4pm in Mumbai.
The 2013 Linea comes with very minor changes from its earlier iteration. Fiat will offer the Linea T-JET in two variants. The entry level variant will get 15 inch tyres as well as 185mm of ground clearance. While the higher variant will be a little costlier and will get 16 inch tyres and an increased ground clearance of 190mm.
Linea T-JET is the only sedan in India in this segment which comes with a turbocharged petrol motor. It belts out a fabulous 114bhp of peak power output and a monstrous peak torque of 207Nm from its 1.4L motor. A quick glance at the official prices of the regular naturally aspirated Linea in Delhi reveal that T-JET’s Rs 7.6 Lakh pricing is lower than Linea Dynamic FIRE petrol.
Anyone, who has driven the T-JET will vouch for the fun factor the car provides and if Fiat launches it at these prices, it will and should be a huge seller. Fiat has really ‘Made its Move’, we are hooked!
