Few days back the Honda Brio diesel was caught testing and we had this news that Honda might launch the car somewhere early 2013. Business today has got even better news for all of us. Considering the widening gap and ever increasing fuel prices, companies are speeding up their diesel launches in India. And Honda is also a part of this race. The latest we hear about them is that Brio diesel might come to us as early as by Diwali 2012. They have asked their Research and Development to fasten up the seat belts and reach the finish line before.
Right now Honda has no diesel in the showrooms and it is affecting the sales figures in reality no matter how good deal they are trying to offer to the customer. Honda may also reach a third party to fulfill the engine requirement. In short, Brio could be the first diesel car by Honda.
Fact is, not only Honda but almost every other company out there is struggling with the petrol powered cars on the sale. Let it be Maruti Suzuki or Volkswagen. Renault too is working quite hard to come up with some nicer diesels.
