It has been in the news for the last few days and Honda has confirmed by sharing event invites to the media. So, as they said “Be the First to See the Next Global Sensation.”, we just could not fail to agree, it will be!
Though they have not mentioned anywhere that it will be Next-Gen Honda City’s unveiling but it just can not be anything else! So, the official unveiling will take place in New Delhi on Monday, 25th November 2013 at 11:45am. Interestingly, this would be the first car since MotorBash was born 1.5 years back, which will be unwrapped officially without we or the internet having a concrete clue/spyshot on offer.
Yes, nobody knows how the car looks, nobody knows the exact engine specs, nobody knows nothing about the new City. All what has been speculated is that it will be based on the Next-Gen Jazz and will come with a diesel engine, obviously apart from the 1.5L petrol. And the diesel will be none other than the 1.5L I-DTEC which does duty on the Amaze in better tune and more power.
According to an earlier report, Next-Gen Honda City has already reached ARAI for necessary formalities and homologation for India and is rumoured to be launched in our country on 2nd of January with sales beginning thereafter. Unofficial bookings are also underway!
We dearly expect one (or many) of you readers will not let this unveiling take place as dry as this. Wake up you shutterbugs, auto spies, get us a spyshot of the Next-Gen City before the unveiling (and earn quick cash); we still have 9 more days to go!
