For the CR-V, Honda will change the Passenger-side inflator whereas on the Accord the Driver-side airbag inflator will need a replacement as a part of Honda’s global recall exercise. In addition to this, passenger side inflator of 1 unit of Civic manufactured in 2004 will also be recalled for replacement of the passenger side airbag inflator.

Honda clarifies that fortunately there has been no untoward incident reported from India and this is a precautionary measure. The replacement and the complete job will be carried out without any cost to the customer at Honda’s Indian dealerships starting 4th June and in a phased manner where the company will connect with the concerned customers directly.

As a proactive measure, if you own any of these cars (from these model years), you can verify if your car is involved by entering the 17 digit alphanumeric VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) at the official website.

For all you others who do not own any of these vehicles, Honda’s all New Jazz is coming …  🙂
