Honda Vezel China Launch by November This Year

Ever since Vezel was unveiled by Honda internationally, majority of Indians got glued to all its developments and expected it to be the compact SUV for us! However, in the latest updates, it becomes apparent that Honda will not launch the Vezel here because of pricing constraints.

America will get the Vezel under the brand name of HR-V and along with other markets, Honda will also launch it in our neighboring country China, which is a much larger car market than ours.

According to a report on Carnewschina.com, Vezel is expected to be launched in November 2014. Honda showcased the Vezel at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show and it will be manufactured in China by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture.

Prices of Vezel are expected to start from 100,000 yuan to 140,000 yuan which equates to something in the region of Rs 9.5 Lakhs to 13.3 Lakhs when converted to INR. In comparison, Ford China sells its EcoSport, which is a lot smaller crossover than Vezel, between 94,800 yuan to 119,800 yuan (9 Lakhs to 11.4 Lakhs INR).
