Honda is all set to join the war. Especially with the launch of SUZUKI RIII or commonly known as Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Honda already has started working on its own version of mini MPV based on the Concept S by Honda.
Concept S by Honda is a global platform for the markets like India, China, Russia and Brazil etc. and is expected to be powered by the under development 1.6 litre diesel and existing 1.5 litre petrol engines. Also, expect the front of the car to look quite similar to the concept but the rear end might end up with some boxy looks, typically Japanese.
Uh! Yeah, if Honda can price it under 10 lac INR mark, they might be giving Maruti Suzuki goose bumps.
Honda has revealed that the MPV will be unveiled in China sometime next year, no intimation or expectation about launching in India now but We still hope it to be here by mid 2014 and with a different name, may be.
It would be interesting to see if it would be the ‘Freed’ that Honda would bring to India or this Concept S.
