Hyundai Launches Extended Roadside Assistance Program, Available for Out of Warranty Customers

Life is full of uncertainties and one of those could be you stranded in the middle of nowhere due to a vehicle breakdown. It could be a simple problem but sudden unfortunate moments may cause the human brain also to get numb and render it useless to take the best decision.

To ensure peace of mind in such situations, Hyundai India has come up with a 24×7 Roadside Assistance (RSA) program that extends well beyond the warranty period.

The company has teamed up with Allianz Global Assistance for this and though it was originally launched in 2010 Hyundai has now launched its ‘extended’ version to also include its customers whose vehicles are out of the warranty coverage. Of course, the RSA policy can be bought if the warranty is still running, but the chances of a car breaking down are directly proportional to its age in most cases.

Hyundai says that the maturity of the coverage ‘would be upto 6 years from the date of delivery of the vehicle to 1st customer’. If I have interpreted it correctly, you cannot buy it if you have a vehicle that is more than six years old. However, the best part is that this coverage is PAN India, which means that unlike those separate road assistance programs that only provide coverage in your city and some kms around it, you can use the Hyundai’s RSA throughout the country. So no more worries about that road trip then in your Hyundai!
