Innova Facelift Base G Variant Snapped; Launch Very Soon

The word is loud and clear; Toyota intends to take on the upcoming competition with a tacky looking overdone facelift of Innova, their mass selling overpriced MPV.

Toyota launched this facelifted Innova in Indonesia a few weeks back and reports of its Indian entry have been making way since then. In terms of changes Innova facelift gets excessive chrome-d front grille, modified front bumper, fog lamp housings, chrome strip at the rear, reflectors at the rear door etc.

The car has been snapped at an Indian dealership earlier further strengthening the claims of its Indian entry. Now, we have a new set of pics courtesy mroptimist at Team-BHP.com which features the base ‘G’ variant of Innova facelift from some Indian dealership yard.

This G trim, thankfully has no chrome horizontal linings at the front grille as well as the rear. It also doesn’t get fog lamps and gets steel rims being an entry level variant.

With this facelift Toyota will also introduce a new top of the line ‘Z’ variant which will sit above the ‘V’ trim and is touted to get new infotainment system along with a few niptuck jobs here and there. Surprisingly, the price of this variant might just breach all insanity levels (for a car of Innova stature!) at somewhere around Rs 17-18 Lakhs apiece!

There is no official word on new Innova’s Indian launch from Toyota yet but since the initial batch has reached dealerships, its official entry into your nearest showroom’s front porch should just be around the corner.
