New EcoSport facelift has been spotted testing on the roads with changes to the interiors…
Ford seems to be on a roll with the EcoSport. Barely a few months after the introduction of a facelift, the American manufacturer seems to be working on another refresh. Spy shots shared at AutosSegredos, a Brazilian automotive blog, reveal a minor nip and tuck job on the sub four metre compact SUV (in India).
The mechanicals of the diesel version were worked on recently and it appears that the changes this time will be limited to a few cosmetic tweaks. The biggest change appears to be on the dashboard layout which has been camouflaged. The driver instrumentation console is a single unit now. Apart from that a small infotainment system can also be seen, possibly a touchscreen for the higher variants.
We believe that this new update is being brought to better match its competitors which globally includes the likes of the Renault Duster and in India the upcoming Maruti Vitara Brezza. This is apart from the Mahindra’s onslaught with its TUV300 and the upcoming NuvoSport.
It is not clear whether Ford will be bringing these changes to the India-spec model but even if its is destined for India, it may not be very soon.
