Fiat India’s fortunes are something they would never like to talk about back home. The company has been in all sorts of troubles with the sales hitting new lows every month.
However, things are all set to take a u-turn. Fiat showcased their future roadmap last month and are looking to go north from where they are. They’ve hit the rock bottom and just can’t go below that. What can happen from here on is, that they can just do better.
Fiat announced the arrival of the iconic Jeep brand in India and the brand would start its onslaught by bringing in the Grand Cherokee first along with Wrangler. Now we have landed upon an interesting news snippet which claims that the Jeep Grand Cherokee has been spotted in India.
We are not sure through this pic that this Cherokee has been caught anywhere in India, but what we are sure about is that this definitely is the new facelifted 2014 Grand Cherokee.
What’s new in Grand Cherokee Facelift
The flagship SUV comes with a refreshed front, new headlights with LED daytime running lights, and the UConnect touch screen multimedia infotainment system making its way to the interiors of the car. The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee will go on sale with the same engines as on offer now but with an improved fuel efficiency. It will come in petrol and diesel guises with the petrol variants being 3.6 liter V6, a 5.4 liter HEMI V8 and a top model variant HEMI SRT 6.4 liter V8 unit.

The volumes would come in from the V6 diesels which would come in a state of tune of 190 BHP and 250 BHP, and these would be mated to a new eight-speed transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. It is slated for a launch at the Detroit Motor show and if this pic is anything to go by India might be the fortunate country to get the facelifted Cherokee upfront.
