The plant is located at Changshu, near Shanghai in China and is a part of the 10.9 billion Yuan earmarked for the investment into this JV. It would also include a research and development center along with an engine manufacturing unit. The plant is scheduled to be completed by 2014.

With this JV, there would be a new brand established under which models specific to the Chinese market would be assembled. The JV company would be known as Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Company. Both companies plan to harness each others positives and strengths to build a long lasting and mutually beneficial partnership.

Very recently, we have also shared with you spotting of Chery Easter MPV in Jaisalmer India. Check spy pics and details here.
