June 2014 Sales: On a Roll Honda Posts 75% Surge; Modelwise Break-up Inside

Honda Cars India continues with its trend of posting strong results with sales growth of fantastic 75 percent for the month of June 2014. The company sold a total of 16,316 units in the domestic market as compared to 9,297 units in June 2013. This strong boost in sales figures even when the market is not experiencing its best days is a really commendable job.

Honda City continues to be the bread winner for the company, ousting as many as 7,723 units. For the last month these figures stood at 7218 units. The other car that is doing exceptionally well for the company is their compact sedan Amaze which has ended up a close second with sales of 7,075 units, much above its May 2014 figures of 4752 units. Brio continued its slow run with sales hovering over the 1400 mark whereas the CR-V contributed 80 units to the tally.

Gross monthly sales including 739 export units stood at 17,055 units. Remember, that Honda has recently inaugurated their second plant in India and now has a total monthly capacity of 20,000 units.

This wonderful performance is set to get only better with the launch of the much awaited 7 seater MPV, Mobilio within this month.
